If so was it difficult to bring down at all????
i'd love a pic if u have got one
for the people that don't know what a sambar deer is. it's really big. australia's biggest species of deer and i've heard they can go up to 500kg

Reply with quote | #2 | you Aussie bow hunter have some many option when it come to hunting. you can hunt big game with little limits on when and how you hunt. here in the US we have all kinds of laws and there all different in different states. I don't even want to tell you the cost. the mimimun cost of hunting in a different state is a 100 bucks. you many only be able to kill one deer too. there are some states where it cost 1500 and you have only five days to hunt. good luck I really like hearing for you Aussie bow hunters.

Reply with quote | #3 | Victoria is your best bet for sambar Where i live in NSW we have fallow and chital deer , ive seen a few this year going too and from work , the rain we've had has been good as there is plenty of food about Got a roo with the car the other morning , didnt do the bumper much good! How come you never have a bow in the car when you need it!

Reply with quote | #4 | yeah i live on the border of NSW and Vic and we travel down south for our deer, the property we hunt on has a lot of fallow and apparently sambar, and i've seen a doe that looked a fair bit bigger than the other doe's i've seen but she was in a shadow and only saw the silhouette before she buggered off |

Reply with quote | #6 | in regards to the money to pay in the US when going hunting that is a fair bit but, i know this is a bow forum and there are no lisencing measures for a bow but i can't remember how long it takes to get a shooting lisence in AUS but it's a while and in NSW it's between 4 and 10 weeks,

Reply with quote | #7 | zacsagun this is a Bow hunting form but most bow hunter do hunt with a gun. I'm not an expert on the laws in AU but i know that it is very hard to get a gun into AU. Good luck sean

Getting a firearms license in NSW can take up to 10 weeks.The same can be said about cooling off period for buying firearms.In all the different states and territories of australia the rules are different.So much for the uniform gun laws john howard wanted after he stole our legally owned and bought firearms in the 2 buy backs. |
